Biological Diversity in a Circumpolar Indigenous Perspective

Starting April 11th, 2016 in Kautokeino, Norway, this is a course organized by the Sámi University College and the UArctic EALÁT Institute in cooperation with the International Centre for Reindeer Husbandry. The course includes a two-week session in Kautokeino, and independent project-work to document traditional knowledge.

Applicants must fulfill the requirements for higher education entrance qualification in Norway (in Norwegian: generell studiekompetanse), and have good command of one of the teaching languages (North Sámi, English or Russian). Priority will be given to applicants who command an indigenous language (North Sámi or any other) and/or are currently enrolled in a study program leading to a degree, in Norway or abroad.
